Reims D Shopping in France:
We stopped in Reims for some shopping and a little lunch. Reims has fabulous restaurants, French pastry shops and a chocolatier. It is a very quaint shopping area.We experienced some difficulty in conversing with the locals as they did not speak very much English or perhaps didn't want to. I found the people to be very friendly, but experienced issues with the food service being very slow. You definitely need more than an hour to have a sit down lunch in a restaurant here. Also, be aware that they smoke A LOT in France!
We tried some French pizza for lunch. The pizza is made on a large tortilla and topped with all kinds of things American's don't usually put onto a pizza. Toppings like Mustard, eggs, and ketchup just to name a few. To our surprise the pizza's were quite tasty. We may just have to start adding some of those toppings on our homemade pizza's when we get back to the USA.
